DeRo United Training Programs
Growing up DeRo played the majority of his soccer years in Scarborough, coached by his father and mentor Tony De Rosario.
The partnership between father and son has led to an accumulation of knowledge and experience that has helped to inspire the creation of the DeRo United Futbol Academy (DUFA), DeRo-velopment House League and DeRo-velopment & Power Training program.
Together with the collaboration of a group of highly knowledgeable and qualified coaches, the De Rosario family has created a world-class training program that is focused on the development of youth futbol players (ages 4 – 16) using the “DeRo-velopment” model.
The DeRo-velopment model uses the W5H system to teach players the Who, What, Where, Why, When and How of the game. For example, – Why…do we pass the ball? – Who…do we pass the ball to? – When…do we pass the ball? – Where…do we pass the ball? – What…do you do after you pass the ball? – How…do you pass the ball?
The W5H system focuses on helping players better understand their decisions and decision-making process on the field, while creating the opportunity to develop greater technique, speed, strength, awareness, confidence and discipline.
DeRo United also teaches players the importance of health, nutrition and continuous education through ongoing mentorship and guidance on and off the field.
We believe these are the most vital tools necessary for the success of any aspiring futbol player and we are committed to helping youth achieve these goals.
