Dwayne De Rosario
Dwayne De Rosario is definitely Major League Soccer’s breakout star as their 2011 Most Valuable Player. Before landing on D.C. United as their attacking midfielder, De Ro – as he’s affectionately called – triumphed through the league suiting up for Toronto FC and the New York Red Bulls in the same year. Passion and hard work eventually landed him at the top of everyone’s mind. He credits his father for pushing him to perfection while growing up in Scarborough Ontario and helping to discover his talent for the game that would eventually become his gift to his many fans across the country. De Ro is the only player in D.C. United history to claim three Player of the Week Awards in one season and he is the only player in MLS history to score for three teams in the same season. read more
